Celine Dion isn't waiting for the coroner to give an official cause of death for Whitney Houston because she apparently knows what killed her ... drugs.
Speaking to "Good Morning America" today via phone, Dion wasted no time pinning Houston's untimely passing on drug abuse. She told Robin Roberts, "Whitney has been an amazing inspiration for me ... It's just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people or bad influence took over. It took over her dreams. It took over her love and motherhood."
Dion immediately linked Houston's death with other famous people who died from drugs. She went on to say, "When you think about Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse, to get into drugs like that, for whatever reason. Is it because of the stress and bad influence? What happens when you have everything?"
A cause of death has not yet been determined, but sources close to Houston's family tell TMZ the coroner has told them she died from Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol.
WHITNEY HOUSTON Few Pills Recovered at Death Scene
Law enforcement sources tell us ... multiple medicine bottles were found in the Beverly Hills hotel room where Whitney Houston died ... but we're told there were NOT a lot of pills at the scene.
Among the pills ... ibuprofen (painkiller), Xanax (anti-depressant), Midol (for menstrual cramps), amoxicillin (for treating bacterial infections) ... and more.
We're told the amoxicillin was prescribed recently because Whitney had been suffering from a sore throat.
We're told some of the pills were old ... some issued in 2011 ... but some of the bottles were from 2012. We're told the bottles that were recovered at the scene did not contain a lot of pills.
Sources tell us ... some of the prescriptions were filled at the infamous Mickey Fine pharmacy in Beverly Hills ... where Michael Jackson had numerous prescriptions filled for Demerol and other drugs.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... it's possible Whitney suffered a heart attack caused by an adverse reaction to her medication, but it is simply too early to make an official call on the cause of death.

The 84th Academy Award nominees were announced early this morning in LA, with Martin Scorsese’s ‘Hugo’ headlining things with 11 nominations, followed by silent movie ‘The Artist’ getting 10. Other things that jump out are ‘Drive’ getting shut out, Michael Shannon not getting a nomination for ‘Take Shelter’, the Dean of Greendale Community College nominated as a writer for best adapted screenplay, and two nominations for ‘Bridesmaids’ (supporting actress and screenplay).

Seal is still wearing his wedding ring
This won’t make a ton of sense, but yesterday, just a few hours after Heidi Klum and Seal announced that they were getting a divorce and ending their 7 year marriage, Seal was wearing his wedding ring and saying how awesome Heidi Klum is on the Ellen Degeneres show:
“Yes, I am still wearing my ring. I think it’s just pretty much a token of how I feel about this woman. We have eight years. “Just because we have decided to separate doesn’t necessarily mean you take off your ring and you’re no longer connected to that person. “We will be connected in many ways ‘til the rest of our lives.”
It’s a good thing Seal has always seemed so dignified, because that could have easily sounded creepy instead of romantic. Especially with him looking so, I don’t know, so “tribal”. I’d be scared to date Heidi next. He looks like he’d eat your heart to gain your powers.
Britney is getting her own money as a wedding gift
Britneys Spears father, who is either very generous or too cheap to buy a real present, will give up his conservatorship as a wedding gift to Britney, allowing her full control over her finances (and an empire estimated at around $200 million) for the first time in 4 years.
Her father Jamie has been conservator of her affairs since her life spiralled out of control in 2007. But as a special gift to mark her upcoming wedding to fiance Jason Trawick, Britney’s father is asking a judge to halt the conservatorship.
When Jason heard the news, he sat back in a big leather chair, tapped the tips of his fingers together and said, “Eexxcellent. Everything is going exactly as planned”, then laughed maniacally.

'AMERICAN IDOL' Tent Girl Amy Brumfield -- The Boozy Criminal Past
"American Idol" wannabe Amy Brumfield ... the 24-year-old singer who lives in a tent ... has a LONG criminal record ... revealing a serious battle with alcohol.
According to police records obtained by TMZ, Brumfield has been arrested at least 6 times in the past 7 years ... with 3 arrests involving booze.
Brumfield -- who blew the "Idol" judges away with her rendition of Superwoman by Alicia Keys -- was arrested in Tennessee on August 22, 2010 after cops say she was so drunk, she peed on herself in the lobby of a Baskin Robbins.
Just 9 days before that -- on August 13 -- she was arrested in front of the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen ... after cops say she was displayed "extreme intoxication" ... and was "trying to find someone to take her home."
Brumfield was arrested twice in 2007 -- once for unlawful detainer (staying at a property after her lease had ended). The other arrest was for underage consumption of alcohol -- for which she pled guilty and was sentenced to probation.
Brumfield was also arrested in 2005 for criminal trespass on private property -- the details around that incident are unclear.
But this story could have a happy ending, judging by her audition on "Idol" last night, Brumfield appears motivated to start a whole new life for herself.
